"For through me your days will be many, and years will be added to your life."  Proverbs 9:11

THANKS from the Health and
Wellness Ministry Team!!  All
of the members of the Health
and Wellness Ministry team
want to thank the congregation
for their participation in the
February 25th Health Fair.  We
hope you found some helpful
healthy tips to use during this
Lenten Season and the entire
year.  We are always looking
for new members to our team
and are actually looking at
setting up standing committees
to help with various projects
that may not require the monthly  team meetings.  If you would like to be a part of our Health and Wellness Ministry team, please contact Lana at the church office
or call Janey Wendschlag at 881-3046.  We'd love to have you join us!!

March:

WE NEED YOUR HELP!  We are asking for all Health professionals to consider volunteering to be a part of a Sunday Morning Emergency Response Team!  These volunteers would be the "point people" that all staff would refer to when needed. If you would consider serving, please contact Lana Tipton in the church office (277-6176).  Your commitment can be as much or as little as one Service , one Sunday each month!

When you can't get out in the fresh air  to take your daily walks  - or runs - remember the walking track in the gym  is available for use.  It is open for use most weekdays - call the church for more info as to availability.

The Health And Wellness group meets the second Thursday of each month in the Reception Room at 7:00 pm.  All are welcome to attend--you don't have to be a Health Professional to be a part of out ministry.  Our meeting in March will be on Thursday the 8th and April 12 will be our next meeting.  Call Janey Wendschlag, the group's leader, at 881-3046 or the church office for more info.

The Blood Center will be at the church on Sunday, March 11 from 9 AM to 11 AM.  They will be set up in the gym for anyone interested in donating blood.  If for some reason you cannot donate on Sunday, but are willing to donate in the name of Southern Hills please visit the new Blood Center in Beaumont Center.

If you like to walk - or NEED to walk - consider joining the "Happy Soles" walking group.  The group meets once a month for a group walk and has prizes and rewards for individual walking accomplishments.  For more info. please contact Marianne Blodgett at 223-7715 or Gail Isaac at 223-8172.

Thanks for the generous donations for our 2007 Health and Wellness Fair.  Please note the various locations of donations and the winners of those prizes.  We appreciated everyone's generosity and support!  Please see the bottom of this page for the winners, the vendors, and the door prizes.

       The Health and Wellness Group

is looking for a good, "slightly used"

computer  to be donated to the Church

for use and training in our upcoming programs.

Call Janey @ 224-4387 if you can be of assistance!

ROOM AT THE INN:

is in need of volunteers for

 Saturday suppers and for Men

to volunteer to spend the night!

Call the church for more info!
