The purposes of our music ministry are:

  • To identify and develop musical and artistic talent of all ages within the ranks of our congregation and beyond
  • To help people grow and mature in their Christian faith through the choral and instrumental arts
  • To pass down the great musical traditions of our church universal that make it meaningful and relevant in today's world
  • To minister to others through the inspiring language of God's word with music
  • To exemplify the spirit of Christ, his life and teaching, with purpose, clarity, and dignity through the creative and expressive use of the fine arts

Chancel Choir
Chancel Choir (CC) is for adult singers with  previous choral experience who read music. CC presents a variety of distinguished choral anthems and service music written by classical and contemporary composers. It provides service music for the 9:30 AM service every Sunday, and rehearses every Wednesday evening at 7:00 PM in the choir room.

Sanctuary Choir
Sanctuary Choir (SC) is for all who like to sing but, cannot attend weekly rehearsals; no audition necessary. SC presents arrangements of traditional hymns and service music for the 11:00 AM service each Sunday. Warm-ups to the 11:00 service are on Sunday morning at 10:30 AM.

Soli Deo Gloria
Soli Deo Gloria (SDG) is an auditioned adult vocal arts ensemble that presents primarily a cappella music from the Renaissance, and music with accompaniment from the Baroque, and Classical periods. SDG provides service music for the 11:00 AM service, and rehearses every Wednesday evening at 8:00 PM in the sanctuary.

Summer  Choir
Summer Choir is open to any and all singing adults who would like to try out choir just for the summer. No auditions. Choir meets on Sunday mornings at 10:30 AM as warm-up for the 11:00 AM service, June thru mid-August. 

Male Vocal Ensemble
Male Vocal Ensemble presents music in worship once every other month and for special events throughout the year. Open to all men who enjoy singing a variety of gospel music, spirituals, and traditional hymn arrangements. Rehearsals are arranged around members' availability.

Women's Chorus
Women's Chorus presents music in worship once every other month and for special events. Open to all women who enjoy singing a variety of gospel music, spirituals, and traditional hymn arrangements. Youth Choir--Wesley Choir
Youth Choir--Wesley Choir (WC) is for students in grades 6 thru 12. WC offers vocal

Childrens Choir--Chapel Choir
For children in grades K thru 5. The Chapel Choir offers vocal training to elementary age children, and teaches the primary aspects of the Christian faith, liturgy, and United Methodist worship. Children also enjoy great fellowship in weekly rehearsals every Wednesday from 5:15 PM to 6 PM in the GAP music room (September thru May). Choral Music Library
